Elmer es un elefante miembro de una manada de elefantes de todo tipo: jóvenes, viejos, altos, gordos, delgados... pero todos ellos grises, es decir, color elefante. Elmer en cambio es amarillo, naranja, rojo, rosa, morado, azul, verde, negro y blanco. Elmes es diferente.
